I have a question: What is the maximum number of character slots that one can buy for an account. Is there a cap or can one buy unlimited character slots?

The cap is around 26-28 slots.

26 can be bought. So however many you're entitled to from campaigns + the factions pre-order

And I thought having 13 was a lot...I couldnt imagine having that many...

it says we can add up to 26 additional slots, but there is some discrepancy as to the upper limit on the account---some say 30 while others suggest 35 (if you have all campaigns with the extras).....I have 27 right now, but I have all the ones you could get from the campaigns to begin with (the 4 proph, 2 factions and 3 nightfall)....so you can add at least 18 slots

Maximum total slots is 35 or 36. An alliance member received the "you canna hava no more" message. He has all the campaigns and pre orders.
